Project 3M : Making faces with Marsha & Maria

It’s been a hectic month for both of us. It all started with me leaving Live!Studios, to having a collaboration work with Watti Hary (a professional make up artist trained in the UK), to shooting Alvin & Yossi’s Actual Wedding Day in Puncak just within 1 week after I came back, and to preparing our office space – that includes buying office equipment, subscribing internet connection, etc etc.
Well, today is our first official working day in our new office. And it’s about time we update our ‘outdated’ blog.

First, we are going to start with our Project 3M: Making faces with Marsha & Maria. I first met Watti about a year ago at Wedding Diary 2009 where she was involved in the make up process for all the models. Then follow with a project called “Prestige by Inar” that we did together.

As according to the title, this project is a collaboration among Watti Hary, Maria Grasnick, Marsha Ciputra, and the wagyu story. Just about 1 week before my departure to Indonesia, Watti approached me and offered me this precious opportunity. At the same time we were struggling to find a MUA who would want to collaborate with us. I guess when we really need something, He will provide. We really thank Him for that. Watti wanted to do this “Making Faces” project to celebrate her 10th year in the make up industry, we are pleased to support her. Congrats Watti! We look forward to working together with you again in the near future! =)

Dudes, I love the veiled and the chair photos… Good job!
The veiled photo reminds me of the famous Nat Geo photo…is that your idea?

Hello! I guess we’ve missed quite a number of occasions recently! Well, let’s see what we’ve missed… Starting with the Chinese New Year : Happy (belated) Chinese New Year to everyone (especially those who celebrated it). Hope you all had a blast one and spent precious time with your loved ones!! Did you guys get a lot of hong baos?? =)

Oh anyway, while we were having a grilled WAGYU BEEF dinner with friends from Bandung at Robertson Quay just now, we witnessed colorful fireworks in the sky that came from China Town. We were wondering what we missed then before we realized that today is exactly the last day of the CNY celebration! So again, Happy “Cap Go Meh” to everyone!!

This time, I’d like to post up something different than what we normally do. Portraiture is one thing that we always loved and wanted to explore further but so far has always been neglected. Hopefully, we can shoot more of this kind in the near future. We attended a portraiture class conducted by our friend who happens to be known as ‘the portrait guy’, Ejun Low! Quite an interesting class and we learnt a lot from him, that’s for sure. The only one I wish to be different is for the practical session to be conducted in his studio instead of outdoor. These photos were shot during the practical session. Not the best of course, that’s why we would expect some critics and comments for us to improve… Cheers!
