neng’an & xuefen | new journey

Few months before I left Live!Studios – the company where I learnt a fair bit of photography skills before I decided to run ‘the wagyu story’ with en-en, Neng’An and Xuefen already reserved myself to cover their big day. It was such an honor to gain trust from clients whom I personally haven’t met before their big day, and my gratitude goes to the couple.

I honestly feel so grateful that all of us didn’t find any barrier to break the ice when we first met that morning. Xuefen is such a cheerful and bubbly bride and Neng’An is a very easy going groom. I truly enjoyed myself that day…

Though it has been a while since the last time I shot a wedding day in Singapore (we have different wedding culture in Indonesia), I still get amazed by the energy of the groom and his brothers to crash the gate, and by the excitement of the bride and her sisters to bully the guys. At this wedding, I witnessed the longest ever gate crashing process as it took slightly longer than 1 hour! You will see silly and ridiculous things of gate crashing photos below =)

To cut it short, please enjoy my favorites from Neng’An and Xuefen’s wedding..

The sisters were enjoying the view from top to see the guys in action..

Here comes the torturing session before the groom can finally meet the bride..

..and as always, the sisters are just enjoying the moment =)

The sister asked the brothers to roll an egg from one end of the groom’s trousers to the other end. This is by far, the most yucky task I’ve ever captured..haha..

Love the energy and laughters amongst them

These 2 are the flower girl and boy for the evening, Yanlin and Shaun. They are Xuefen’s nephew and niece and both are super cute! Shaun was trying to imitate my shooting pose and kept saying “click click click” =)

I love the expressions of Shaun and Yanlin here:D

and I like Neng’An sister’s belt here..so cool! I wanna have one..haha..

Xuefen was making funny face to make Yanlin laugh. She asked me to delete this photo after I shot it, I just can’t resist to keep it as it’s quite hilarious..

Priceless! Haha..

One of the things I enjoy the most when shooting a wedding is to shoot the bride while doing her make up and preparation. Cause this is the time when brides turn from beautiful to gorgeous..

Do you see Shaun covering his ears when Neng’An’s father shouted “Yam Seng”? Ain’t he cute?? And the girl on the most left, she is Neng’An sister who wore the piano belt. She looked completely different and blew all of us away that night. Btw, this shot was taken by Lorraine Chee, my 2nd shooter that day and ex-full time colleague..
