zhi yuan & joyce | a simple yacht wedding

Hi Folks! I know it’s been a bit slow here on our blog, but if you’re a fan of our facebook page things are different over there. Yeah I have to admit we are neglecting our blog recently until some of our friends (who are not big fans of facebook) reminded us that they have been following our blog more than our facebook page. But the thing about facebook is we can gradually post photos which is quite ‘fun’ to do especially when we’re kinda ‘stuck’ with one job and need to refresh our minds and switch to the other one. And that, for sure is not gonna work for blog.

So here is something different to show you. I had a privilege to help my ex-company, Live!Studios when en-en and me were in Singapore 2 weeks ago. They were overbooked plus short of manpower (a normal thing to happen in Live!Studios), so they asked if I would be free to shoot a job for Truly Harmony – a Singapore based wedding planner which is specialized in yacht and green wedding. It was my first yacht wedding! I was excited and immediately took the job.

I never met Zhi Yuan or Joyce before their big day, but when I first met them I could tell how much love sparks between them.

Before the day, I spent some time googling other great photographers’ photos about yacht wedding and everyone has one thing in common – awesome sunset!!

That day, the weather was just ok, meaning to say there was no rain. However, the sky was cloudy ugly, grey and nothing fantastic.
Until finally the sun came out of nowhere and made it one of the best and most breathtaking sunset I’ve ever witnessed so far. And that…made my day!

Disclaimer: Again, although I took all the photos, they are copyrighted by Live!Studios.

melvin & vero | elegant with a vintage twist engagement

It’s a blessing to have loved and be loved for 11 years and a greater blessing to have that person not only as your best friend, but also your soul mate.

Vero heard about us through our good friend, Atep, and turns out she loves our work <3. The couple and Atep were from the same high school. It was said during high school Melvin used to make fun of Vero, but the teasing soon turned into love. When Vero introduced us to Melvin, turns out, Melvin is in the printing business. From then, we’ve both become clients and vendors =) The stories we heard from their 11 years relationship are quite funny. When Melvin went to US for his university, the one that cried when he left was Vero’s maid. Haha! This shows that not only they are close with one another, but with the whole household =D

During our meeting, I found out that we have a lot in common. Not only Vero loves everything vintage, she’s also a foodie. I still wonder how she manages to stay slim. Oh and her sense of style can be describe in only one word… Wow! Her dresses are all so gorgeous and they were either full of lace or have awesome embroidery work done on them. She’s also very talented, she did the make up and hair all on her own. We later found out that she also does Melvin’s styling. Awesome right? =)

Here’s some of our favorite from the session. Hope you enjoy them =)

Our day started from Botanic Garden in the morning. I still remember what kind of weather that day was, boy it was hot!! So hot that it’s very challenging to keep Melvin’s smile on his face :P

and the wagyu says…MooOOooo…

Hi everyone, we just realized that we’ve been absent for quite some time from our blog. And also just realized that this post is actually our first post in 2011. Yup! We’re still alive out here.. :P

The past 2 months have been the most hectic months for us. We’ve been away from home most of our time, spent Christmas and New Year in Singapore with quite a number of shoot assignments before Christmas, in between Christmas and New Year, and after New Year. We’ve posted some sneak peek photos on our fanpage and will soon be posting the full sets for you. Can’t wait!! So stay tune guys!

Currently we’ve been away from home for about 2 weeks and still 1 week to go before we head back home. We went to attend the inaugural CreativeAsia Conference in Kuala Lumpur (I’ll blog more about CreativeAsia Conference & the Photo Competition later on) before coming down to Singapore for some job assignment and workshop. Now since all the work is done, we are going to take a short break to spend Chinese New Year here with our families :)

It’s been gloomy these past few days here as it’s been raining heavily nonstop for the past 3 days (it’s still pouring heavily out there as I’m typing this). I really wonder where all the water comes from, it’s like there is something or someone unlimitedly supplying the water to the cloud up there. It doesn’t look like it’s gonna stop anytime soon. I guess we’re gonna have a very wet Chinese New Year here…

Hope you guys stay warm and dry out there and have a wonderful family reunion :)

Moo,
