25th Anniversary – A celebration of love as bright and enduring as silver
We often see young couples in love, and once in a while, we are fortunate to see couples who has been through not only a decade…but 25 years of marriage together.
We had the privilege to capture Willy and Lina’s 25th wedding anniversary and it’s amazing to see their bond of love grows stronger. Love is a great teacher, and you can see it well in their family, it must have been passed down from their parents and to their children. Not only their immediate family is close, but their BIG family are really close and harmonious. The celebration takes place in an uphill private residence of Lina’s brother where families and close friends came together to celebrate the love around Willy and Lina. The setting was romantic, vintage and glamourous. It was slightly drizzling but it stopped right before the guests arrived. I personally feel touched by the warmth of their love, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt it.
A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. ~Mignon McLaughlin
but for Willy and Lina, there is another ingredient to a successful marriage… it is their trust and promises to the Lord that they will love one another and build a household of faith.

Happy Anniversary Cek and Ie2… and thank you for allowing us to witness your love. Hope you enjoy the photos <3
P.s. We normally call them Acek and Ie2 {uncle and aunt}, but we’re gonna use their name to describe the story, with no less respect.
When you arrive, you will see these gorgeous setting. Guests wrote their personal wishes for Willy and Lina on the vintage table.
We had an exclusive peep of the decoration done for the dinner party. Come and take a look at the amazing details that makes the place magical.
The house itself is like a resort with multi-cultural elements like the gorgeous huge teak table, the arabic carpet and the chinese tea pots. Even though they are from different parts of this world, they blend together perfectly.

Introducing Irene, their eldest child, whom I’ve personally gotten to know more of her through my years in US. She has definitely grown into a beautiful woman.
I really love this portrait of Lina, happiness can be seen not only in her smile but you can see that her eyes are sparkling as well.
I seldom see Asian parents show their affection in front of the public but Willy and Lina just poured it all out to us. It’s really heartwarming.
The gorgeous decor for the ceremony.
Here’s Irene and Hendry =) Hendry is Irene’s boyfriend, who’s celebrating his birthday today! Happy Birthday, Hend!
Kevin, the youngest child, is a fun, creative and goofy. His laughter are contagious and he has many different styles and poses for every single frame. Haha, thanks for making our portfolio so colorful, Vin =)
Ok, they were posing seriously but when I click the shutter, they came out this way. =D
The blessed family <3
Here’s Jeanne, the daughter of Lina’s brother, who has the privilege of calling this fantastic place her home =)
Have I mention that their family has lots of fantastic singers. I’m proud to say that the gorgeous lady in blue, is my choir teacher from when I was 5 till I left for US. She has an amazing voice, and not only that, her three sons are equally talented. You have to listen when they sing together, it can gives you goosebumps.
Laughter, smiles are heard and seen everywhere as guests started to fill the place.
Magic hour for the guests entrance.
Ceremony was led by the music of harp by Heidi Awuy.
The ceremony was filled with great advice, touching memories and meaningful songs.
Willy and Lina’s niece and nephews sang them a beautiful song “The Family Prayer”
Love the connection here <3
After the sermon, Irene and Kevin thanked their parents, for teaching them to be the person they are today and for being their best friends. I couldn’t help but cried behind my lens as I remember my own parents and how grateful I am for them.
After the ceremony, they went in for a little touch up and a few family portraits.
Isn’t her eyes filled with love? <3
When the night comes, the decor even became more gorgeous as the lights started to sparkle.
I don’t know what’s in the cake but it looks tough. Haha. Their expressions = priceless!
Their anniversary falls on the same day as Willy’s birthday and Lina’s birthday falls the day before. So the whole family surprised them with another cake =) The celebration turned a little crazy after this… =p
Their nieces and nephews gave them lots of gifts, inside those boxes contained random things like salonpas, supermie, hair tonic, tupperware, durians and dog bones. Each has a meaning to Willy and Lina’s everyday life. Willy’s brother, who was the MC for the gifts surprise, was so funny. Everyone was having a wonderful time and we were laughing out loud. What a family! <3
Their nieces and nephew gave them a last gift, which was a 3 nights hotel stay in Bali. In their notes, it said that they couldn’t leave the room until they come back with another one. Hahaha. Look at Willy’s reaction after this photo.
Amazing fireworks that led by their old time favorite song, YMCA and everyone danced away.
