You might remember Yossi and Alvin from the engagement photos that we took in Houston. Here they are, finally married!!
This wedding was especially memorable for us… not only it was our first wedding day job since we officially left our previous job to focus on the wagyu story, but also because the couple are our close friends and it was the most touching wedding we’ve ever shot. You’ll see from the photos later..
Held in their gorgeous villa up in Puncak, we once again had the privilege to shoot their wedding. The weather in Puncak is quite unpredictable, one minute it’s sunny, the next it’s raining. The day started out really hot in the morning and rained heavily right before the ceremony.
The ceremony was held outdoor in the garden. I remember asking Alvin “Have you memorized your vow yet?” And he said, “Oh, I’m gonna do that now” And I jokingly told him that maybe God wants you to memorize the vow first before letting you get married. Haha. Strangely enough, after he memorized them, the rain stopped!
Here’s a glimpse of their wedding… enjoy =)

Puncak literally means peak in English. This was taken up on the peak around the guests’ villas and our car was having trouble going up the mountains. See the white tents on the bottom of the mountain? That’s the gorgeous reception area… scroll all the way down to see more of the night view and decorations.

The make up starts at 8am. Quite late eh? Well, that’s because Yossi just woke up at 7.30am. Hahaha. We love weddings…especially when it doesn’t start at 4am =p

Alvin’s father was having trouble clipping on the button and tie… and Alvin stopped whatever he was doing to help him.

Yuddy is Alvin’s best man. He’s definitely one of the friendliest guy we’ve met.

Have we told you before that Alvin loves to imitate Nick Carter’s signature style? Tata were shooting this when I shouted “Give me Nick Carter”. He definitely delivers well. Hahahaha. Let me introduce you to the Men in Black, from left, that’s Andry, also known as the gadget guy, is Alvin’s cousin; next is Herwin and I love his sense of style! =) Next is Yuddy and the guys at the most right is Andrew and apparently it’s a small world, he’s engaged to a friend I’ve known in college.

Come on guys, give Alvin a punch for being the first one to get married! Haha =)

Yossi’s gorgeous shoes…. I love how luscious the bows are <3

Now let us introduce you to the bridal party. Top left is the maid of honor, Nana, a dear friend of Yossi who always stood up for her friends. She always gives support and love genuinely, and she’s one of the most mischievous person I’ve known. Top right is Yossi’s sister, Maria, she’s so talented, she’s the designer for all the bridesmaid and the maid of honor dresses! Bottom left is Fella, Yossi’s childhood friend, a patient and sophisticated lady. Bottom right is Marcella, also Yossi’s childhood friend. She’s so sweet and her smile are quite infectious that when you took her photos, you can’t help but smile too =)

The gorgeous 3 sisters =)

Isn’t that sweet? How her dad’s face simply lights up when Yossi gives him kisses? <3

The decorations near the bride’s room are simple yet elegant, I love how they use the combination of yellow roses, lilies and lemon to light up the place.

The rain stopped 5 minutes before the ceremony starts. God is good =) He provides everything at the right time.

Here the groom, the best man and the groomsmen waited patiently as Yossi walked down the villa.

One of the most gorgeous and longest aisle I’ve seen =) Throughout the walk, you can see Yossi appreciating every step she made with her dad. And they often talked and smile to each other.

That’s Yossi’s grandma and brother, Simon. I’ve known Yossi for about 9 years now and her family is one of the most devoted Christians I’ve known. It touched us deeply to see their thanksgiving to God during the ceremony.

mmmm..ok….here comes the Pastor blessing the bride and groom… but there’s no mic stand. So the planner had someone from the planner team to stand there and hold the mic… – -” Hahaha. But it turned out great… except with a stranger there.. huahahahaha..

Instead of the unity candle, the bride and groom did a unity sand. Using different colored wedding sands, the bride and groom filled up the Unity Vase while a group of friends from San Jose sang the song “Father we commit to You”. The Unity Vase creates a lasting keepsake of that special day.

Touched by the ceremony, Alvin’s sister cried while her husband prayed silently. Yossi’s parents couldn’t hold their tears as well.

Giving thanks to their parents for taking care of them and for giving them an excellent example of how a marriage should be, and with that, they have helped them shaped to be someone worthy of each other. I was literally crying behind my viewfinder and Tata said he almost teared up as well…..he said almost =p

The sunset was amazing!!!! This happened right after the ceremony… it was as though God is giving His blessings and expresses it through the colors of the sky =)

Remember the white tents from our first photo, this was how it looked at night. Breathtaking right? (*note: all the food is in the tent) Haha

The engagement photos that we took for them in Houston was displayed beautifully at the reception!

The decorations were gorgeous. Unfortunately, the heavy rain didn’t allow the guests to be sitted and enjoyed the food on the table. Even so, the guests have an amazing time and gathered by the white tents, which is good, coz it’s so much closer to the food =p

We have to emphasize this…the FOOD are delicious!!!!! =) =) =) Good food made us happy.. hahahahahah…very very happy. The lobster bisque was so good, I ate 3 bowls of it myself. Hahaha

They give shawls as souvenir, perfect for the drizzling and windy weather.

It’s cute how they add personal details to their cake as Alvin loves playing guitar and Yossi loves pretty flowers.

Yossi gave Nana, the maid of honor, a big hug after her touching speech. One of the sentence we remembered was… “Alvin, I hope you will still share her with me” awww.. =)

First dance accompanied by their favorite song “Can’t take my eyes of you”

Right after their first dance, the fireworks went off. Most of us were stunned by the display of fireworks. Luckily we turned around and saw them had their first kiss. So glad we managed to get this very romantic scene.

Here they are, finally watching their pre-wedding video that was done by us, the wagyu story =D

Friends were having fun and enjoying the reception even when it rained quite heavily. Thanks to Yossi and Alvin, the shawl given can be used as shelter as well.

Everyone wanted to get the bouquet, coz the prize was a Blackberry Onyx! Guess who got it?
(*clue: sure hope it was me though)

Congratulations to Yossi and Alvin! Hope you are having a fun *wink wink* honeymoon!
